This year was the first year in a while that I had not participated in the Month of Design as a venue operator, or served an organization or brand sponsor in preparing printed material for exhibition.

Instead I assisted Johnnie Jackson of Cool Ass Detroit Stuff for his first year hosting Shed 5 for the Eastern Market After Dark celebration.

I knew the lessons would be deep, so I invited my imagINary friends to come show what they do to Detroit and the world. Sam and Breezy showed up in a big way to bring attention to interesting ways of being responsible in material culture.

I asked Breezy to art up my favorite piece of Michigan furniture, an Eames chair and Ottoman gifted to me by Joe “Leadfoot” Ferrari; Who also supplied the power packs that fueled my cameras.
