SUMMARY:City of Design Talk: At the Station
DESCRIPTION:Fri\, Sep 11 | \n\n\n\nThe Study @ Michigan Central \n\n\n\nBringing Architecture\, Sound\, Product Design & Community into Conversation \n\n\n\nHow do the spaces\, objects\, sounds\, and experiences around us shape the way we connect?\n\n\n\nModerated by Evan Nicole Brown\, a freelance writer for CULTURED\, the conversation will feature artist Salam Rida\, a 2025 Michigan Central x Newlab Fellow and Detroit Month of Design exhibitor; architect Jaimelyn Neher\, a key contributor to The Mezz at Michigan Central; and architect Anthony Morin of AJOM Architecture. \n\n\n\nTogether\, they’ll explore the intersection of architecture\, emerging design\, audio\, product design\, and community – considering how creative disciplines can make spaces feel more welcoming\, expressive\, and alive. Set inside Michigan Central\, the conversation reflects the spirit of the evening: a celebration of the visual and performing arts\, Detroit’s creative ecosystem\, and the power of design to shape the city’s next chapter. \n\n\n\nThe talk will begin promptly at 6:30PM\, followed by a musical performance by EDNA and sound by Bing Audio.
